THE IMPORTANT STUFF:

In a nutshell, I offer tuition & mentoring options, either "one-to-one" or, small group sessions (max 6 people)

I can help with:

1. Photography basics - exposure, composition, colour etc

2. More advanced techniques, both in & out of camera

3. Critical viewing, shot selection & simple ways to enhance your images

4. Photo editing & retouching principles

5. Using mixed light sources

6. Using artificial light as a main source or as a "fill"

7. Specialist photography eg: Architectural, Food, Portrait or Products

8. Periodic portfolio reviews

One-to-One tuition, portfolio reviews and / or mentoring are available with options for hourly, half day or full day sessions.

THE BORING STUFF:

I've been a professional photographer all my working life (suffice to say, quite a long time...)

Over the years I've worked in many diverse locations, mostly in Europe but also, more limited experiences in the US, Canada, Africa & Russia,

These days you'll find me closer to home either in the studio or on location around the NW UK.

Simply put, I photograph: People, Places & Products.

If qualifications & awards are your kinda thing; I'm a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP), member of the Association of Photographers (AOP) & The Federation of European Photographers (FEP)

I've won many awards including BIPP National Industrial Photographer of the Year, I've served on the Admissions & Qualifications Board of the BIPP & been on the BIPP National Print Awards judging panel.

But, TBH, although awards are nice n stuff, being consistent, professional, reliable, innovative & listening to what the client needs are really THE most important things!
